RAW BASIL PESTO

Makes 1 Quart

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ cups raw walnuts or hemp seeds (or a combo)

½ cup raw pine nuts

2-3 lemons (juice)

1 large bunch of fresh basil (2 of those small bins from the grocery store)

1 TBSP balsamic vinegar

2 tsp salt (to taste)

¾ cup olive oil 3 cloves of garlic

A splash of water (to get the blender going)

PROCESS

Combine all ingredients in blender. Use the pulse setting for a more chunky pesto. If you like it smooth, blend into a cream.
